ABOUT THE RETREAT CENTER
My Warrior's Place is relocating to Punta Gorda but will continue operation in Ruskin, FL until December 31, 2025. Our Punta Gorda location offers a relaxed tropical setting nestled on Shell Creek, and our Ruskin location is on the Little Manatee River. Some of the amenities include, but are not limited to, a small laundry room, canoes, kayaks, fishing equipment, fire pits, a screened-in patio area, and docks. These properties provide a safe haven where healing can begin for our Veterans, Military Service Members, Fire Fighters, Law Enforcement Officers, Blue, Red, and Gold Star Families. COTTAGE MINIMUM DONATION AMOUNTS
* PER STAY: There is a one-time non-refundable general cleaning fee per stay.
ALL COTTAGES (except for the Studio) have a kitchen/dining room/living room area. Additionally, each bedroom as 2 Twin Beds that can be configured into a King Bed. The Studio has a small kitchenette with a Futon and private bathroom. All cottages have TV's with WiFi.
Units are set up for up to 1 person in a Studio, 2 people in 1 bedroom, 4 in 2 bedrooms, and 6 in 3 bedrooms.
You can request air mattresses if needed for additional guests.
***NOTE: Dogs are always welcome but there is a $5.00 per day (max of $250.00) pet fee to cover the extra expense of cleaning the cottages/units for the next guest (this pet fee does not apply to service dogs). Your reservation will be penciled upon making your reservation request, BUT we MUST receive a $50.00 deposit to secure your reservation stay. If you cancel your reservation your deposit will become a donation to MWP.

THE PROPERTY GROUNDS & WILDLIFE
MWP in Ruskin has water on two sides (a river on one side and a canal on the other side). The wildlife is abundant. There are many quiet quaint garden areas where one can find a seat to enjoy nature.
